Knitted in rib in our Ateliers in Saint-James, the Palerme jacket is the re-edition of one of our iconic pieces. It uses the yarn of one of our emblematic sailor jumpers, the Matelot, and is distinguished by its gold buttons stamped with Mont Saint-Michel. With its thick and elegant knit, its V-neckline finished with a remeshed band, its piped chest pocket and its two patch pockets, the Palerme jacket asserts itself as a timeless piece.

To take care of your wool garments, here are a few recommendations:

Wash your garments only when necessary. Wool is naturally self-cleaning — often, simply airing it out is enough. Over-washing can damage the fibres and lead to premature wear.

When washing your wool garment, make sure to:
- Use a gentle or wool-specific detergent
- Avoid fabric softener
- Set your machine to a maximum of 30°C (20°C ideally), but never cold — wet wool felts more easily
- Use a low spin cycle: 400–600 rpm
- Avoid tumble-drying
- Dry flat, in a temperate, well-ventilated area
- Never soak the garment

A simple steam refresh is often enough for wool. If you do choose to iron it, select the wool setting and use a damp pressing cloth between the iron and the garment.
