Fujames beanie
Born from a new collaboration between SAINT JAMES and AVNIER, this collection draws inspiration from Japanese culture and creativity. It combines the Maison’s historic craftsmanship with AVNIER’s contemporary energy, offering a bold reinterpretation of French elegance.
Made in our Normandy Ateliers, the FUJAMES beanie takes its name from two symbolic towns: Fuji in Japan, home to the iconic mountain, and Saint-James in Normandy, the birthplace of our brand.
Knitted in the same soft merino wool as our iconic Marée sweaters, it is soft, comfortable, warm and lightweight. Its textured stitch adds depth and a plush feel. On the cuff, the SAINT JAMES x AVNIER label marks the collaboration at the front, while a Spike embroidery, AVNIER’s emblem, adorns the back.

To take care of your wool garments, here are a few recommendations:
Wash your garments only when necessary. Wool is naturally self-cleaning — often, simply airing it out is enough. Over-washing can damage the fibres and lead to premature wear.
When washing your wool garment, make sure to:
- Use a gentle or wool-specific detergent
- Avoid fabric softener
- Set your machine to a maximum of 30°C (20°C ideally), but never cold — wet wool felts more easily
- Use a low spin cycle: 400–600 rpm
- Avoid tumble-drying
- Dry flat, in a temperate, well-ventilated area
- Never soak the garmentA simple steam refresh is often enough for wool. If you do choose to iron it, select the wool setting and use a damp pressing cloth between the iron and the garment.
